Two of my favorite things in this entire world are Disney and Christmas. This time of year from November through mid-January I’m playing Christmas music loud and proud, sneaking in one or two new decorations every other day, and baking up a storm. And around here we try to sneak in some Disney touches wherever we can and Christmas is no exception. From Mickey cookies to Disney ornaments from vacations past, Disney is alive in our hearts year-round, Christmas included.

Besides our house, there’s no where in the world that Christmas comes alive more than in Disney World. Just as Disney does everything, the holiday season is a really big deal. They spare no expense on the decorations, the food, the specialty fireworks, the Christmas parade starring Santa and his Disney friends, and did I mention the decorations? Because you haven’t seen Christmas lights and trees like Disney’s before.

From the second you step on Main Street and smell those familiar smells you’re transported to a Disney version of the North Pole. With Mickey shaped wreaths decorating the light posts, an over 60 foot tall Christmas tree front and center by the train center, and Cinderella’s castle dripping with icicle lights, that magic that you feel when you first see the castle, you’ll feel that times a thousand. And Disney doesn’t stop at Magic Kingdom, resorts across property and the sister parks are dressed up in their holiday finest too, starring their own centerpiece trees, holiday themed topiaries, spectacular light displays on attractions, and beyond.

Decorations aside, Disney steps up their celebration game with Christmas parties featuring holiday treats, a Christmas parade, special fireworks, and real snow in central Florida! And lucky for Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs, Disney imagineers didn’t leave them out of the mix. You’ll find other holiday events from light shows to dining specialties from Christmas to New Years!

There’s nothing like seeing Disney during holidays. Combining Disney magic with Christmas magic is pure perfection! It’s a time of year that shouldn’t be passed by if you can help it. And don’t worry, you’ll have from early- to mid-November to catch Christmas in Disney!
