What I love about WDW is that it’s always changing and growing. No two trips are ever the same for us, and that’s saying a lot because we’re definitely a Disney family. And every now and then, you get super lucky and get to experience an entire land opening!

This summer Hollywood Studios did just that! This park got some much needed love thanks to the grand opening of Toy Story Land and that love will just keep coming with the pending opening of Star Wars Land!

What Disney does best is immerse you completely into a story. Their ability to recreate these fictional worlds and make them real is remarkable. And they did it again with Toy Story Land. If you’re a Hollywood Studios veteran then you’ll remember the Honey I Shrunk The Kids play area. Magically you were shrunk down to the size of an insect and left to crawl, slide, and jump through giant blades of grass. This part of the park was amazing and a great spot for kids to just run free and have fun.

Well, now that concept has evolved, and thanks to the genius imagineers at Disney, Toy Story Land has been born! Guests will feel like they’ve been shrunken down to the size of toys and will get to play in Andy’s backyard with some of their favorites. You’ll get to zip around on Slinky Dog Coaster, twist and turn on Alien Swirling Saucers, and play a 3D arcade game with a few twists and turns on Toy Story Mania. Oh and no new land is complete without a few sweet and savory treats, which of course are perfectly themed at Woody’s Lunch Box. From the jumbo tinker toy lights and popsicle stick fences to the Candy Land height stick and Scrabble pieces spelling out Restroom, the details make the land feel like it’s own world. This is a job well done in my opinion and definitely a site to see!

Oh and Toy Story Land isn’t the only crowning jewel of Hollywood Studios. There are so many other showstoppers to add to your itineraries, like Tower of Terror, Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster, Frozen Sing-a-long, and the Star Wars Galactic Fireworks. This park is overflowing with exciting things to do and most certainly shouldn’t be missed!
